Scored on a scaled ranged between 0 and 60, with scores of greater than 45 uncommon. Again, the scaled score is multiplied by a factor that is between 8 and 8.2 to determine the contribution of verbal section to the total score. A scaled score of 40 in verbal assessment will correspond to a contribution of about 330 points to the total score.
If you score a scaled score of 46 in math assessment, and a scaled score of 40 in verbal assessment, your total scaled score is 86. You then multiply this by a factor of 8.1 (typical) to get a total score of about 700. AWA score is not combined with the scaled scores from the adaptive sections, and interpreted as a stand-alone score.
